10 New Email Notifications for Better Communication

With this update, we’ve added some more email notifications to bridge the gap even further amongst the users of your website. We hope this will help create a more interactive experience with your LMS platform.

These emails can be customized the same way you could customize the old ones. Please refer to our documentation to learn how to customize these emails. Here’s a list of all the new email notifications you will have access to in the latest update.

  2. Withdrawal request rejected – to instructor
  3. Withdrawal request approved – to instructor
  4. Withdrawal request received – to instructor

For Instructor Registration

  1. Instructor application received – to instructor
  2. Instructor application accepted – to instructor
  3. Instructor application rejected – to instructor

For Content Drip

  2. New quiz published – to students
  3. New assignment published – to students

New Customization Options

In the previous update, we added filters to the course archive page that allowed users to filter courses by category, level, price, and tags. However, we realized that a lot of admins wanted this disabled, especially when it came to smaller websites with limited courses. Therefore, we’ve added a toggle to enable or disable these filters, and also an option to select which filters you want. To find this, head to Tutor LMS > Settings > Course.

Keep in mind that you have to set preferred course filters to make sure they work properly.

New Parameters in Course Shortcode

We have a shortcode feature which is helpful to show courses in a landing or sales page. As we have added archive filter option in the last update, we are adding controls to turn on or off in case you’re building a custom course archive. The new parameters are:

column_per_row='number'
course_filter='on/off'

If you do not override these values, the values will be taken from the settings of the corresponding shortcode. You can read more about the shortcode from our documentation.

Assignment Review Status

Teachers can now view evaluation status for assignments from the dashboard as well. We have added a new column to the dashboard that shows all assignment status.

Also, you can now disable sub-menus in the frontend dashboard using a newly added filter. To do so, please paste this piece of code to the functions.php file in your theme:

add_filter('tutor_dashboard/nav_items/settings/nav_items', function($nav) {<br>unset($nav['withdrawal']);<br>return $nav;<br>});

New Withdrawal Details Design

We have updated the withdrawal screen with a simpler approach. Now it is easier to get idea about the past and pending requests. This is not all of it. We have started revamping the entire Tutor LMS experience back in February this year. We will be releasing more User Experience improvements in the upcoming releases. So, we would request you to share your feedback with us and wait for us to finish working on them.

The instructor needs to click on the Withdraw Now button and he/she will be asked to enter an amount in a pop up box to submit the withdrawal request. The admin will receive a notification via email and take necessary steps.

Therefore, this should be a welcome update to all of them and help them create a more versatile eLearning platform. With new email notifications, you can boost connectivity between all the included parties, create a more involved user base, and convey important information effectively.

We hope this update gives you something to look forward to! If you have any feedback regarding this update or any other, please drop a comment and we’ll check it out. Have a great day!
