Introduced Slots in the Course Builder to Integrate Custom Fields

With the release of Tutor LMS v3.3.0, we’re introducing a powerful feature that gives developers even more flexibility in customizing the course builder: Custom Fields. This new functionality allows third-party plugins to inject custom fields and content directly into the course builder interface, making it easy to personalize the course creation experience. 

Inspired by the WordPress hook system, developers can now register fields dynamically using the registerField function, and position them in specific slots within the course builder. This update supports a variety of field types, including text, password, textarea, select, radio buttons, WPEditor, and even custom components. 

It’s not just about form fields—developers can inject any custom content into the course builder, opening up endless possibilities. Whether it’s extra metadata, interactive elements, or new features, the Tutor LMS v3.3.0 update gives you more flexibility to customize the course-building experience.

Sell Courses Your Way with Membership-Only Access

With the previous major update, we introduced the Membership options to Tutor LMS, now with v3.3.0 we are including a new Membership-only mode. If you enable this mode your site will become entirely Membership based. All single course purchases or course subscriptions will be disabled for learners and they will only be able to access courses by purchasing any one of your membership plans. 

Guest Checkout – Faster Purchases, No Account Required

You asked for it and we got it. Guest checkout is now available with the Tutor LMS Native eCommerce enabled, making it easier than ever for students to purchase courses. It’s all about reducing barriers for learners looking to purchase something on your eLearning site. 

We understand that a lengthy signup experience hinders ease of use. With guest checkout, students can buy the course and later configure their passwords through an automated email that they will receive. 

Streamlined Enrollment with Bulk CSV Upload

Manual enrollments got a major upgrade in Tutor LMS v3.3.0! You can now bulk enroll students using a CSV file. With the updated manual enrollment interface, simply upload a CSV, and all students will be enrolled in the course at once.

If a student is already enrolled, Tutor LMS ensures there are no duplicate entries. To make the process even easier, a sample CSV is available for download, showing the correct format. And of course, you can still manually enroll students one by one, just like before.

More Control Over Course Availability & Enrollment

This is a big one! A highly requested feature was the ability to add a “Coming Soon” banner to a course and make it available for purchase at a set time. Well, we heard you loud and clear and we’re adding even more control to your course-building workflow with: 

• “Coming Soon” Courses – Display upcoming courses with a custom thumbnail to build anticipation before launch.
• Custom Enrollment Dates – Set enrollment start and end dates or pause enrollment instantly—directly from the course builder.

Now, you can schedule a course with a dedicated “Coming Soon” banner to generate excitement before launch. Plus, you have full control over enrollment dates—pause enrollment instantly or set a fixed duration. All of this gives you greater flexibility in how you create and sell your courses.

Verifone (Formerly 2Checkout) – Another Payment Gateway Added to Your Toolkit

Tutor LMS now supports 2Checkout as a payment gateway, giving you even more ways to sell your courses. Verifone 2Checkout is a global payment gateway that lets you accept online payments in over 200 countries. 

With this addition, you can accept one-time payments seamlessly, providing students with a smooth checkout experience. This update brings the total number of payment gateways in Tutor LMS’s native eCommerce to nine! This means you can reach a broader audience, streamline international transactions, and boost course sales with ease.
