Tutor LMS v3.8.0 – Introducing Course Gifting!

We’re beyond excited to announce the release of Tutor LMS v3.8.0, and this one is special. This update brings an exciting new native feature: Gift Course.

With this release, you can now let your users send courses as gifts. We believe this opens up a whole new avenue to help others start their learning journey, celebrate milestones, or simply share the joy of knowledge. 

We have quite a few other additions and improvements in this update along with course gifting. Before we get into the details take a look at the changelog for Tutor LMS v.3.8.0:

• Fix: Paid courses could be mistakenly set as public.
• Fix: Incorrect tax was calculated during manual enrollment (Pro).
• Fix: Topic count did not display on the backend courses page when no content was added.
• Fix: Students were able to access courses even after a custom extension date had expired (Pro).
• Fix: Preferred course filter did not appear when the course filter was enabled.
• Fix: Lesson Preview was turning off after editing with the WordPress editor.

Admins only need to toggle the course gifting feature on and then all paid courses will have the gifting button on the course details page. Learn more about it from the Gift Course documentation. 

Manual Enrollments Also Got a New a Capability

We have enhanced manual enrollments with this new version. Previously, if you wanted to manually enroll a student into a subscription course or bundle, you had to turn on the Membership Only Mode, which wasn’t always ideal.

With this update, you can now manually enroll students into any subscription plan, whether it’s for an individual course or a full bundle. This gives admins and instructors more flexibility and simplifies how subscriptions are managed.

The enrollments tab now has a new button letting you select a plan to enroll either one student or bulk enroll if that’s what you need. 

A More Organized WP Admin Menu

We’ve also given the Tutor LMS WordPress Admin Menu a facelift!

With this new structure, navigating settings, courses, reports, and tools feels much cleaner and more intuitive. It’s a small but neat quality-of-life improvement that makes managing your LMS that much smoother.
